“Hatha” is a yoga system that utilizes both breathing control and physical postures (also known as “asanas) to better align the body. The term “Hatha” is translated as ha meaning “sun” and tha meaning “moon,” and is therefore, a path for creating balance. Within the physical body, this means finding strength and flexibility, while learning to mediate our effort and surrender within each pose.
Carefully integrated alongside simple breathing exercises and visualization, yoga helps to center and quiet the mind in a way that is beneficial to all human beings.
What Can You Expect?
Through a combination of grounding postures, moving flows and positional holds, you can expect to gain a better sense of body awareness while simultaneously learning to end injury causing compensation patterns.
Each of these yoga classes are focused on exploring the full body. However, they are individually customized to fit the needs of workshop attendees. Therefore, they are accessible for practitioners of every level.
